Bluetooth 3.0 technology enables one-touch control for a variety of functions, including answering, rejecting, and redialing phone calls, as well as listening to music, FM radio, and GPS navigation audio. The built-in speakers and noise-canceling microphones allow for clear communication during calls and audio playback.
The intercom function of the ILM Bluetooth Helmet supports pairing of up to 3 riders, with simultaneous 2-rider intercom communication possible within a maximum distance of 500 meters (1,640 feet). However, it's important to note that the rider-to-rider intercom communication is only compatible between ILM 953 Bluetooth Helmets (B019PU4T7K) and ILM TCOM-SC Motorcycle Helmet Bluetooth Intercoms (B088ZQ5547), and is not compatible across other brands.
When the battery is fully charged, the ILM Bluetooth Helmet provides up to 12 hours of phone talk time, 8 hours of intercom talk time, and 110 hours of standby. If the helmet's Bluetooth system hasn't been used for an extended period, the battery may enter a deep sleep mode. To wake the battery up, simply charge it for about half an hour, after which the Bluetooth functionality will be restored.
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before the first use. Additionally, to maintain the battery's maximum working potential, it's advised to charge it regularly every month, even if the Bluetooth helmet hasn't been used.
The visor hinge is designed as a modular system, allowing for easy attachment and detachment of the visor, making it convenient to clean or switch out visors. Replacement options include an anti-fog visor (B08LQ2XCGR) and clear or dark black outer visors (B074KZ8XH5/B074KZQFLY).
The chin guard system features a release button that enables the full-face helmet to be used as a flip-up helmet. The chin curtain is removable and provides protection from cold and wind while riding.
The top liner and ear liners are removable and washable, ensuring the helmet can be maintained in a hygienic condition. It's important to take care when changing the ear pads, as the headphones are inserted into them.
For a better fit, it's recommended to consider getting an extra pair of cheek liners or pads.
